Location: CraigType: Assault 3, Crim Mis 3, Assault 4, Resist Arrest, VCORDispatch Text:
On 01/13/2024, AST responded to a residence in Craig for a report of serious property damage and a disturbance. Troopers responded and located Michael Starr, age 33 of Juneau, wearing only a sweatshirt and covered in blood. There was broken glass and other damaged items throughout the residence. Starr fled the residence and was later located by troopers under the porch. Starr was tased while under the porch after being given several verbal commands to come out, throwing rocks at the troopers, and threatening to kill them. Starr was successfully handcuffed after being tased and extricated from under the porch. Starr continued to violently resist until he was placed in the Craig Jail. Investigation revealed Starr threatened one of the individuals at the home with a knife, physically assaulted in girlfriend, and damaged several thousand dollars’ worth of personal belongings including a double pane window to the home after he threw a tricycle through it. Starr’s charges include two counts of Assault 3, two counts of Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 3, Resisting Arrest, and Violation of Conditions of Release. Starr is held without bail until arraignment.

On 01/14/2024 at approximately 1800 hours, Seward Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to use turn signal. The driver was identified as Patrick Barnes (31, Seward). Investigation revealed Barnes was impaired on marijuana and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

On 1/10/24 at approximately 1230 hours, AST received a report of an assault that occurred in a residence in Kasilof. Investigation revealed Kenny Harris, 44 of Kasilof, assaulted a family member. Harris was also found to be on conditions of release for a prior case. Harris was arrested, transported and remanded to Wildwood Pre-Trial on charges of Assault 4 and Violating Conditions of Release.

On 1/11/24 at 1545 hours, Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious person on School Street in Anchor Point. Troopers contacted Nathan Vandecoevering, 50 of Anchor Point, and arrested him on two outstanding warrants. Vandecoevering was transported and remanded into the Homer Jail.

On 01/12/2024 at approximately 2312 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Johnsons Road near Shultz Drive for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the passenger, Cody Cassidy age 29 of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for FTA on the O/C of DWLR. Cassidy was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he remanded and held on $250 bail.

On 1/14/2024, at approximately 2200 hours, AST responded to a residence on Rubacaba Street in Wasilla for a follow-up investigation. AST contacted Edward Danner, age 27 of Wasilla and Daniel Buckwalter, age 23 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Edward and Daniel had active arrest warrants. Edward was for the original crime of OUI out of APD and Daniel was for Vehicle Theft 1st. Edward and Daniel were arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial, where they were remanded. Edward was held on a $150 bail and Daniel was held on a $500 bail.

On 1/14/2023 at approximately 1136 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance near South Aurora Drive in Wasilla. After investigation, Kimberly Short, a 62-year-old female from Wasilla, was arrested for Assault 4 Domestic Violence. Short was transported to Matsu Pre-trial where she was held without bail pending arraignment.

On 1/13/24 at 2249 hours, AST responded to an address off of Lucille St in Wasilla for a warrant arrest. Investigation revealed that Jason Coombs, age 38 of Anchorage, had three outstanding Anchorage warrants for his arrest, original charges of Theft and DUI x2. Jason was arrested without incident and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held on a combined $1300 bail.
Also at the residence was, Joseph Predmore, age 34 of Wasilla, investigation revealed that he had an outstanding Anchorage warrant for his arrest, original charge of theft. Joseph was arrested on his warrant and during the subsequent search of his person, it was discovered that he was in possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. Joseph was arrested on the warrant and new charges of MICS IV and MICS V. He was transported to Mat-Su-Pre-Trial and held without bail.

Location: FairbanksType: Assault 3, MIW4Dispatch Text:
On January 13th 2024, at approximately 2341 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Lake View Terrace for a report of a threat and display with a handgun between husband and wife. Upon further investigation, John Garrison of Fairbanks was arrested for Assault 3 and MIW4. No injuries. John was remanded to FCC without further incident.

On 01/13/2024 at approximately 2203 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed swerving on the roadway, driving in the middle of the roadway, and then driving into the oncoming traffic lane on Lathrop Street. During the contact, the driver had identified themselves as being another person to troopers. However, it was later determined that the suspect was Lisa Lockwood, 39 of Fairbanks. Lisa was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for felony DUI, avoidance of interlock ignition device, and false report.

On 01/10/2024 at approximately 1700 hours, Alaska State Troopers were conducting a routine document service in the Village of Tanacross. AST contacted a Karen J. Jonathan who at the time was the Third-Party Custodian to a Richard A. Thomas, stemming from court case 4TO-23-00094CR. AST had learned that Richard was in violation of his conditions stemming from that case and was placed under arrest without incident. Richard was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held on a $1,000.00 bail as well as the previous Third-Party Custodian requirements.

On January 14, 2024, at approximately 1514 hours, Fairbanks AST received a report of a stolen black 2000 Toyota Tundra was taken from the intersection of Farmers Loop and Auburn Dr. The vehicle is a black 2000 Toyota Tundra with license plate GWA 181. The VIN is 5TBBN4415YS064248. There were three bumper stickers on the back window. One is a red IBEW sticker, one is a Sunshine Health Food sticker, and one is a Minecraft sword sticker. Additionally, there is a dent on the rear quarter panel on either side of the vehicle.
