On 10/11/2026 at approximately 0306 hours, Soldotna dispatch received a report of a vehicle in the ditch near mile 133.5 of the Sterling Hwy. AST contacted the driver of the vehicle, who was sitting in the seat with the engine running. Investigation revealed that the driver, 46 yoa Johnny Johnson, was under the influence of alcohol. Johnson ultimately failed SFSTs and was placed under arrest for DUI. Johnson provided a breath sample for the Data Master with a BrAc of 0.221. Johnson was remanded without incident to Wildwood Pretrial on one charge of DUI.

Location: SoldotnaType: Motor Vehicle Collision/DUIDispatch Text:
On 10/11/26 at 1330 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a crash notification near Carver Dr. and Sterling Hwy in Soldotna. Investigation of the single vehicle rollover, led to a nearby residence where the female driver (and only occupant), Corrina Marie Thomas, 46 of Soldotna, was contacted. Thomas showed signs of intoxication and after failing field sobriety tests, was arrested for DUI. Thomas was transported and remanded at Wildwood pretrial.

On October 10, 2026, at 10:05 pm, Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Saxman. Investigation revealed Robert James, age 49, of Ketchikan assaulted a female in the residence. Further investigation revealed James was on conditions of release and not to be at the residence at which he was contacted. Ketchikan AST arrested Robert on Assault II, Criminal Mischief V and VCOR.

On 10/10/2026 at approximately 1934 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle failing to maintain its lane near mile 110 of the Richardson Highway. After additional observations and investigation, Trace Sawyer of Tazlina was arrested for DUI. He is being charged with DUI and Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test.

On October 10th, 2026, at approximately 2133 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Palmer. Investigation revealed that Robert Hill, 26 y/o, from Palmer, had committed the crimes of domestic violence related Assault in the 4th degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree. Hill was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bail.

On 10/11/2026 at approximately 0219 hours, the Alaska State Troopers located a male slumped over the wheel of a vehicle about 30 feet off the road in the trees near the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Glenwood Avenue. The male, Misael Osorio, age 34 of Wasilla, was arrested for DUI and remanded at MSPT and to be released once sober.

On October 11, 2026, at approximately 12:03 a.m., an Alaska State Trooper observed a GMC pickup truck make a wide turn and fail to stop at a stop sign on Old Chena Pump Road in Fairbanks. The driver, identified as Lee?Munoz (DOB 04/19/1994), showed signs of impairment upon contact. Munoz performed standardized field sobriety tests and displayed multiple indicators of intoxication. A preliminary breath test measured his BrAC at 0.113, and a subsequent Datamaster test resulted in 0.135. Munoz was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (AS 28.35.030).

On October 10, 2026, at 13:23 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed that 51-year-old Fairbanks resident John Mayer Jr. had passed away. No foul play is suspected. The State Medical Examiner's Office was notified, and his remains were released to his family. Next of kin was notified.
