On 10/18/2026 at approximately 0038 hours near the Poppy Ridge neighborhood, AST conducted a traffic stop on a red truck for a moving violation. The driver, who was identified as 75 yoa Teagle Bryd, displayed signs of impairment by alcohol. Bryd ultimately failed SFSTs and was placed under arrest for DUI. Bryd was remanded without incident to Wildwood pretrial on one charge of DUI.

On 10/17/2026 at approximately 2141 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted William Harris, age 70 of Wasilla, during a traffic stop on E. Naomi Avenue in Wasilla. During the roadside investigation, Harris displayed signs of alcohol impairment. Harris was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Harris was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial for remand and was eligible for release on his own recognizance under the bail schedule.

On October 18, 2026, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported domestic disturbance in Tatitlek. After investigation, there was probable cause to believe that Dennis Zacher had committed multiple criminal offenses during the incident. Zacher was arrested and charged with Assault III (x2), Assault IV, Criminal Mischief V, and two counts of Violating Conditions of Release. He was transported to Glennallen for arraignment.

On 10/18/2026 at approximately 1120 hours, a Glennallen Trooper conducted a traffic stop near mile 187 of the Glenn Highway due to a vehicle displaying incorrect plates. April Reeves was cited for driving while suspended and having no proof of insurance. She is being charged criminally for Improper Use of Evidence of Registration.

On scene, it was determined the suspect, had committed Domestic Assault in the Fourth Degree as well as Driving Under the Influence. The suspect was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center for further detention.

Helena Cole was contacted by Troopers during an investigation into reckless firearm use, during which she attempted to implicate her ex-boyfriend in the theft of multiple stolen firearms. Multiple stolen weapons were recovered at the scene, and her false statements hindered the investigation. She was arrested and charged with False Information and remanded to FCC.

At approximately 2220 hours on 17 October 2026, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Chatanika Drive area reference a call for a burglary in progress.
Investigation revealed that Christine Guzman had trespassed onto a property and attempted to break into the residence by striking a window with a propane tank.
Guzman was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

At approximately 2320 hours on 17 October 2026, Alaska State Troopers responded to 771 Badger Road for an assault call.
Investigation revealed that Derek Kelly had trespassed at the business before assaulting two employees on the site. Kelly was arrested and transported to the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where he assaulted a hospital security guard.
Kelly was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center, charged with three counts of Assault in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Trespass, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

On October 13, 2026, AST reponed to a reported domestic non-criminal incident that occurred on October 12th. Investigation revealed a cell phone was stollen from one of the reporting parties. The cell phone was recovered, and charges have been forwarded to the District Attorney's Office. The case is ongoing.

On October 17, 2026, at 1514 hours, a caller reported an apparent burglary in progress at a house near 4-mile Beam Road in Nome. AST started responding to the call. A short time later, a neighbor near the scene called AST and reported a man just fired a gun toward him as he was driving his ATV in the area. Upon arrival, AST contacted the assault victim, and Rafael Rodriquez (52 yoa of Galt, CA) near the scene. Rodriguez and a female companion rushed to the property to stop the apparent burglary. Rodriguez saw a man driving his ATV near the property and ordered him to stop. When the man didn't stop, he raised and fired a handgun near him. The reported burglary turned out to be unfounded, and ABI and AST returned to the property to serve a search warrant at the property. Rafael Rodriguez was arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree, Misconduct Involving Weapons, and Violating Conditions of Release in an open criminal case. Rodriguez was remanded to AMCC in Nome.
