On 10/04/2026 at approximately 2155 hours, AST received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Big Lake. Troopers responded and investigation revealed that Walter Analoak, age 43 of Big Lake, assaulted a family member in the presence of a child. Walter was arrested and remanded to MSPT for Assault 4 DV and Assault in the Presence of a Child DV.

On 10/4/26 at approximately 2147 hours, AST attempted to stop a 2017 black Dodge Charger for speeding near Knik Goose Bay and S Country Dr. The driver failed to stop, reaching speeds over 100 MPH and driving recklessly. With assistance from the Wasilla Police Department, AST stopped the vehicle, after which the driver fled on foot. He was apprehended and identified as Xavier Cropley, age 21, of Anchorage. Cropley was arrested, transported, and remanded to MSPT, where bail was set at no bail.

On 10/05/26 at 0940 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of Jess Eakin, 40 of North Pole, violating his conditions of release. The investigation determined that Eakins committed the offenses of Violating Conditions of Release and Unlawful Contact 1. Charges were forwarded to the District Attorney's office for review.

On 10/05/2026 at approximately 0722 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received the report of a motor vehicle collison against a moose at mile 352 on the highway. Investigation revealed that a motorist was traveling southbound on the Richardson Highway, when a moose ran into the roadway resulting in a collision. No crime was suspected during the investigation.
