On 11/3/2026 at approximately 1515 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance at a residence in Sterling in which shots were fired. Investigations revealed Agafia Helen Martushoff, age 60 of Sterling, had gone to a neighboring residence and threatened someone with a handgun. During the disturbance, she discharged the handgun multiple times, one of those times being in the direction of several residences. Martushoff was also impaired by alcohol. She was arrested for Misconduct Involving Weapons 2nd and 4th, as well as Assault 3rd. She was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held with no bail pending arraignment.

Location: North PoleType: DV Assault 4 and VCORDispatch Text:
On 11/03/2026 at 1421 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address in North Pole for a reported domestic assault. The investigation determined that Francis Baillargeon Jr., 72, of North Pole, had assaulted his former girlfriend and violated his conditions of release. Francis was taken into custody and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for remand. Francis was charged with Assault in the Fourth Degree and Violation of Conditions of Release.
