On 03/08/2025 at approximately 1830 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of CPR in progress at a residence in Palmer. EMS was on scene prior to AST arrival. At approximately 1838 hours Brett Ahern, age 65, was pronounced deceased in his home. Next of kin was on scene and notified. AST notified the S.M.E. and investigation revealed that Brett passed away due to natural causes. No foul play was suspected.

On 03/08/2025 at approximately 2311 hours Glennallen AST received a report of a disturbance in Copper Center. Investigation revealed that Dakota Voyles, age 30 of Copper Center, assaulted a family member in the presence of children. Voyles was also found to have consumed alcohol in violation of conditions of release stemming from a previous Domestic Violence Assault 4 charge. Voyles was arrested and charged with DV Assault 4 (injury), Assault in the Presence of a Child X 3, and VCOR.

On 03/09/2025 at approximately 0133 hours Glennallen AST received a report of vehicle in ditch at approximately mile 2 of the Edgerton Highway. Investigation revealed that Jericho Green, age 32 of Glennallen, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Green was arrested and charged with DUI.

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 0049 hours, Fairbanks AST contacted Derek Peters, who had an outstanding $10,000 felony warrant for burglary, criminal trespass, theft in the second degree, and criminal mischief in the third degree. Derek was also found in possession of alcohol, a violation of his conditions of release. Derek was arrested and remanded to FCC.

On 03/08/25 Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Michael Fielder (28) was the contacted driver of the vehicle. Investigation showed his license was revoked, and that he was on conditions of release for a court order on a different conviction. Michael was placed under arrest and charged for DWLR and VCOR and was remanded to FCC.

On 3-9-25, Delta Junction AST was driving near milepost 248 of the Richardson Hwy when a oncoming vehicle drifted into the other lane almost striking the AST patrol vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle continued southbound on the Richardson Hwy. During the duration of the pursuit, the vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane of travel while traffic was incoming multiple times. The pursuit ended near milepost 226 of the Richardson Hwy after the vehicle finally stopped per Trooper direction. The driver was identified as Ngoc Le, from Virginia. She was placed under arrest for Felony Fail to Yield and remanded to FCC.

Miller was remanded on an additional four counts of Unlawful Contact in the first degree.

On 03/09/25 at approximately 1702 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a U-Haul pickup truck driven by Janelle Williams, 37 YOA, for speeding. After providing her ID to the Trooper, Williams fled from the stop and a pursuit was initiated. After the pursuit was terminated, Williams abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Williams was ultimately located and taken into custody. Williams was remanded to FCC on charges of Eluding 1st Degree and VCOR.
