Location: GlennallenType: Death InvestigationDispatch Text:
On 3/12/25 at approximately 2100 hours, Glennallen AST received a report of a deceased male at a residence in Gulkana Village. AST and VPSOs responded to the residence where EMS was already on scene and pronounced Samson Frank age 34, deceased. There were no signs of foul play and alcohol was suspected to be a factor. The State Medical Examiner was contacted and released the body to the Anchorage Funeral Home. Next of Kin was identified as mom who was on scene.

On 3/13/2025, AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on Big Lake Rd. Investigation revealed that one of the passengers identified as William Maki age 21, of Big Lake had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Maki was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held on a $250 bail.

On 03/13/2025 at 1630 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Knik Goose Bay Rd and Clapp St for the report of a road rage incident. Investigation revealed that Jason Anglin, age 48 of Wasilla, had pointed a dangerous instrument at another driver and his passenger. Jason was located, arrested, and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held without bail.

On 03/13/2025, the Alaska State Troopers located and arrested James Linn, age 50, of Wasilla, on 2 outstanding bench warrants, the original charges being escape and assault. James was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial, where he was held on $2500 bail.

On March 12, 2025, Alaska State Troopers received a report at 11:05 p.m. of a residential fire in Knik-Fairview. The home was fully engulfed by flames when troopers arrived several minutes later. Central Mat-Su Fire Department also responded to the scene. Investigators found one person deceased inside the residence after the fire was extinguished. The remains were released to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification. The Central Mat-Su Fire Investigator will consult with the State Fire Marshal during the ongoing investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.

Location: Delta JunctionType: Missing Person / Death InvestigationDispatch Text:
On March 10, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that 57-year-old Delta Junction resident Luke Stenbak was missing – initial reports indicated that he had last been seen at a residence in Delta Junction two days earlier. State Troopers and Wildlife Troopers began efforts to locate Stenbak in both Delta Junction and Fairbanks. The multi-day search effort consisted of State Troopers, Wildlife Troopers, ABI Investigators, and K9 search teams from PAWS. On March 13, 2025, DPS HELO 7 located Stenbak lying in a field approximately 2 miles from the residence he was last seen at. At this time foul play is not suspected, and evidence suggests that Stenbak died from exposure. His body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and his next of kin have been notified.

On 3-13-25, Delta Junction AST received a report of an assault from a residence Delta AST responds to regularly near Artic Grayling. It was reported two males were in an active physical altercation. Delta AST responded and contacted one of the males on the road who advised he had gotten shot. He was transported to FMH. Based off of the parties involved statements, it appeared one male shot the other in self defense.

On March 12, 2025, at 3:00 pm, a Fairbanks trooper attempted to stop a vehicle swerving outside of its lane of travel. The vehicle failed to yield after the trooper activated his the overhead lights and siren. The vehicle traveled approximately a mile and a half before pulling into a parking lot. The driver, identified as Reginal Mapp, was arrested without incident before being remanded to FCC. He was charged with a misdemeanor Fail to Yield.

On March 13 2025 at approximately 2030 hours, Alaska State Trooper received a report of a disturbance at a residence near Chena Small Tracks. Investigation revealed Kenneth Loeser, age 70 of Fairbanks assaulted another household member. Loeser was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on the charge of Assault IV.

On March 13, 2025, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by two juveniles. As the vehicle stopped, the juveniles switched seats. Investigation revealed both occupants were impaired by alcohol and subsequently arrested. Both were charged with DUI and the original driver was charged with driving with a revoked license. Both were released to legal guardians.
