AK20019676Location: Meadow LakesType: Vehicle Theft 1,Theft 2nd, VCOR, DWLS
On 3/20/2020 at about 0557 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway on Angel Drive in Meadow Lakes. Troopers stopped the vehicle as it was leaving the area and found the Blue Dodge pickup was stolen from an Anchorage Police Department case. Troopers contacted the driver and sole occupant of the truck who was identified as Brandon Haxton, age 36 of Wasilla. Haxton is on conditions of release for vehicle theft 2nd degree and has a suspended Alaska driver's license. Haxton was arrested for vehicle theft 1st degree, theft 2nd degree, violation of conditions of release and driving while license suspended. He was transported to Mat Su Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

AK20018620Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 03/20/2020 at about 0630 hours, 43-year-old Erin Kennedy, of Wasilla, was contacted at an address on W. Angel Drive. Kennedy was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant related to case 3PA-18-1616CR. Kennedy was remanded to MatSu Pretrial where she is being held on a $5000 bond.

AK20019651Location: PalmerType: DUI- Drug
On 03/19/2020 at approximately 1945 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Soapstone Road in Palmer for the report of a person who had passed out in their vehicle. Investigation revealed that Miro Milic, age 30 of Sutton, was operating his motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Milic was transported and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on one count of DUI.

AK20019729Location: NomeType: SAR
On 3/20/20 at approximately 0900 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of three Iditarod mushers that activated their emergency beacons, requesting a rescue east of the mouth of the Solomon River. Warm weather has caused deep overflow on parts of the trail and the wind has been constant. Nome Search and Rescue and RCC was contacted and deployed. Tom Knolmayer, 52, of Wasilla, Sean Underwood, 28, of Denali National Park and Matthew Failor, 38, of Willow, were rescued by the air guard and brought back to Nome. They were taken to the hospital for medical clearance. The dog teams were brought back to Nome by Iditarod dog handlers that were dropped off at the scene. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank Nome Search and Rescue and RCC for their assistance.

AK20019612Location: North PoleType: Assault 4th (DV), Disorderly Conduct, & Resisting Arrest
On 03/20/2020 at 1548 hours the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a 911 call about a disturbance on Dennis Road. Investigation determined Ashley Newman, age 36 from Fairbanks placed a family member in fear of physical injury. Newman was arrested for Assault 4th (DV), Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest and was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail pending arraignment. Alcohol was considered to a contributing factor.
