    Type: Driving with a Revoked License

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/21/23 at 1035 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a pickup on the Sterling hwy near Jim Dahler St. in Soldotna. Investigation revealed the driver, Theodore Dewain Cummings, age 59 of Sterling, was driving with a revoked drivers license and had a prior conviction for driving revoked. Cummings was issued a misdemeanor citation for Driving with a Revoked Drivers License and released with a future court date.

    Location: Soldotna
    Type: Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/21/23 at 1415 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a property off Andrews Avenue in Soldotna. Upon arrival, contact was made with Daniel William Jenkins, age 41 of Soldotna, who was seated in a vehicle and attempting not to be seen/contacted by closing his eyes. Investigation revealed Jenkins had three outstanding arrest warrants for Failure to Appear for Arraignment with original charges of Failure to Stop for law enforcement 2nd degree, DUI, and Assault 4th degree. Each warrant required a $500 bail. Jenkins eventually acknowledged AST was there and was arrested on his warrants. He was remanded at Wildwood pretrial with a $1,500 bail.

    Location: Wasilla
    Type: Road rage

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/20/2023, at approximately 2231 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance involving firearms on Lenore Street in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Caleb Doty had pointed a firearm at his neighbors during a road rage incident. Caleb was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he will be held pending arraignment on charges of Misconduct Involving a Weapon 4, Misconduct Involving a Weapon 5, DUI, two counts of Assault 3, and Resisting Arrest.

    Location: Knik Glacier
    Type: Aircraft Crash

    Dispatch Text:

    On May 19, 2023 at 6:17 pm, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of an airplane crash in the area of the Knik Glacier. The adult male pilot, and sole occupant, of the Piper Super Cub used a pack raft to travel down the Knik River until he had cell phone service and was able to contact Troopers after the aircraft crashed on a sand bar. Troopers with the assistance of a private helicopter at Knik River Lodge were able to respond and pick up the man. There were no injuries reported. The NTSB was notified of the incident.

    Location: Palmer
    Type: Assault 4/Disorderly Conduct

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/20/2023 at approximately 2343 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Bodenburg Loop in Palmer for a disturbance as a male was known to be yelling on the property. Troopers initially made contact with Charles Hassinger, age 42 of Palmer, in a shed on the property.  Upon contact Charles displayed hostile behaviors, screamed, and did not want to answer questions.  Troopers engaged in a brief fight with Charles before safety applying handcuffs.  Charles was charged with one count of Assault in the 4th degree on a Police Officer, and once count of Disorderly Conduct. He was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial and held on a $500 bail.  Alcohol was factor in this incident.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/20/2023 at approximately 2350 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a Blue Chevy Aveo for an equipment violation near mile 107 of the Richardson Highway in Copper Center. The driver was identified as Tristin Harvey, age 26, of Kenny Lake. Investigation revealed Harvey was driving under the influence of alcohol. Harvey was arrested for DUI and provided a sample of his breath resulting in .084 BrAC. Harvey was released with a date to appear in court.

    Type: Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/20/2023 at 2005 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Quartz Circle for a warrant service. Investigation revealed, Michael Cloud 34 YOA of Wasilla, had two active warrants for his arrest. The warrants were for Failure to Comply with Conditions of probation and Failure to appear original charge OUI. Michael was arrested on his warrants. Michael was remanded at MAT-SU pretrial and held on $13,000 bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 05/21/2023, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to a dispute.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Natasha Grant, 19, for Assault-DV, for causing injury to a household member.  She was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center

    On 05/20/2023, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to a North Pole address regarding a burglary.  Investigation shows that unknown person(s) forced open a rear door, stole a safe, a DVR, and money from this location.  Physical evidence was processed and collected on scene.  The investigation is ongoing.

    Dispatch Text:

    On May 20, 2023, at approximately 2246 hours, AST responded to the area of Bottles St for a report of a DUI. On scene, the driver was identified as Chaston Richards, age 33 of North Pole. Investigation revealed that Chaston was Driving Under the Influence.

    Chaston was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Fourth Degree, Driving While License Revoked, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Avoidance of an Ignition Interlock Device. Following Data Master processing, Chaston was remanded at FCC on these charges.

    On 05/21/2023 at approximately 0200 hours, Troopers received a call that a red 2018 GMC Sierra bearing had been stolen from Lane's Quickie Tacos. The vehicle was located at 771 Badger on the Liquor Well. This is an ongoing investigation.

AK Wildlife Troopers

    Location: Sitka
    Type: Take Lingcod Closed Season

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/14/23 Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Sitka Post, contacted Timothy Eddy, age 50 of Sitka, sport fishing near Biorka Island.  Investigation revealed Eddy had taken a lingcod when the season was closed until May 16.  Eddy was cited for take sport fish lingcod closed season.  Bail is set at $170 in the District Court at Sitka.  The lingcod was seized and donated to a charity.

    Type: Unlawful Markings, Commercial Shrimp Gear

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/17/23, Alaska Wildlife Trooper Sitka Post, contacted James W. Proctor, age 46 of Gustavas, commercial shrimp fishing near Cross Sound.  Investigation revealed Proctor's gear was improperly marked by having illegible markings and more than one ADF&G number displayed on the buoys. Proctor was cited with an arraignment set in the district court at Sitka.
