On June 30th, 2024, at approximately 0525 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted 49 year-old Bethel resident Francis Nevak for a domestic dispute regarding several family members. After an initial investigation, Nevak was arrested and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial for DV Assault in the 4th degree (physical injury).

On 6/29/2024, at approximately 2314 hours, AST received a call about a disturbance in Big Lake, AK. AST responded to the area and contacted Casey Cizek, 26, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Casey had assaulted his girlfriend, broke property, and entered a residence without permission. Subsequent investigation revealed Casey had left a controlled substance wrapped in tinfoil in the back of a patrol vehicle. Casey was arrested, transported, and remanded at Matsu Pretrial for Assault 3, Mics 4, Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 5, and Criminal Trespass 1.

On 06/30/2024 at approximately 0810 hours, Matcom received a report of a male unlawfully entering the vehicle of another parked at a residence near Beverly Lake Rd. Investigation revealed James Stone age 34 did enter the property with intent to commit a crime and stole property less than $250 in value. Stone was arrested and transported to Pretrial where he was released under his own recognizance.

On June 29, 2024, at 9:32pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that a male, later identified as Joshua Cropper, age 43 of Wasilla, had tried to pull a firearm on people and used bear spray on several people during a physical altercation outside of the Fairview Inn, in Talkeetna. A firearm and knives were taken from Cropper before troopers arrived on scene. Cropper started a verbal altercation with several employees and subjects outside of the Fairview Inn. During the confrontation, a physical altercation occurred over a bottle. During the physical altercation, Cropper attempted to retrieve his firearm from his waistband but was unable to due to being restrained. Cropper ‘s firearm and knives were taken from him; however, he was able to obtain the bear spray he was carrying. Joshua sprayed several individuals during the altercation. Several subjects sustained minor injuries from the altercation. Joshua was arrested on three counts of Assault in the 3rd Degree, for recklessly placing several people in fear of imminent serious physical injury, and two counts of Assault in the 4th Degree, for causing injury. After being medically evaluated, Joshua was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail, pending arraignment.

On 6/30/24 at approximately 0915 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance on Green Forest Drive in Wasilla. An investigation revealed Joshua Fleetwood, age 38 of Wasilla, assaulted a family member utilizing a dangerous instrument. Fleetwood was arrested for Assault III (DV) and transported to MSPT for remand, where he was held without bail.

On 6/30/2024, at approximaltey 1650 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in the area of McDowell Road in Wasilla. AST contacted Steven Estes, age 35 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Steven had an outstanding arrest for the original crime of Assault IV x 2. Steven was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he was remanded and held on a $500 bail.

On 6/28/2024 AST received a report of a possible road rage incident near Delta Junction. Troopers contacted the Suspect vehicle and found it occupied by David Donat 70, of Delta Junction. Investigation determined Donat was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcoholic beverage. His behavior while driving also created an extremely dangerous environment for others on the road. Donat was arrested for Assault, and DUI. He was remanded to FCC.

On patrol, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle having difficulty maintaining its proper lane of travel. Troopers contacted Brett Whitaker, 71, of Delta Junction. Field Sobriety tests were administered, and Whitaker was arrested for DUI.

On 06/29/2024 at approximately 2100 hours, AST received a REDDI report of a DUI driver from Northway. The vehicle was located at the Tok River Campground and the driver, later identified as Kluane Coppa, and the occupants, attempted to hide from the Troopers. Kluane was later found with the help of some of the campers. She was apprehended and arrested for DUI and VCOR. Kluane was then remanded to FCC.

On 06/30/2024 at approximately 1600 hours AST received a 911 call about an in-progress disturbance in Healy. Investigation determined Bryant Arbuckle, age 26 from Healy assaulted a family member with an object causing injury. During the investigation Bryant kicked a Trooper in the knee causing injury. Bryant was arrested and remanded to FCC where he was held without bail pending arraignment for Assault 3rd (DV) and Assault 4th (Assault on a Peace Officer.

On the morning of 6/30/24 Troopers responded to a residence in Fairbanks in reference to a Domestic Assault. Through the course of the investigation, probable cause was established for the arrest Curtis Petersen for Assault 4 (Domestic Violence) and Misconduct Involving Weapons 4. Curtis was arrested without incident and transported to FCC.
