    Jamerson Carter, age 23 from Nikiski, was arrested and booked for DV assault 4 and VCOR when assaulted his ex-fiance 2 weeks ago. Jamerson was on PED and under supervision of adult probation.

    Update: On June 24, 2024, at 7:50am, the body of Christiana Watt’s was recovered from Ward Lake. The body was spotted near the shore by a person walking the trail around the lake. Next of kin has been notified.

    Update: June 17, 2024. After multiple days of searching on land, water, and under water with search teams, K9s, sonar, and remotely operated vehicles, the Alaska State Troopers in coordination with Ketchikan Volunteer Search and Rescue, have suspended the active search for Christiana Watt. Search teams have searched all probable locations for Christiana at this time. If new information or evidence becomes known Troopers or other search teams will react to that information and may start active searching. We appreciate all of the assistance that local search teams and the Ketchikan community has provided. If you have information that has not been reported to law enforcement that may help Troopers locate Christiana, please call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100. You can also provide information anonymously through the AKTips smartphone app. 

    Update: June 13, 2024. Search efforts today have been concentrated on Ward Lake utilizing underwater ROV and sonar. Murky water conditions continue to present visibility challenges for the ROV with no new leads.

    Update: June 12, 2024. Search efforts are continuing with a focus on Ward Lake using an underwater ROV, boats, and dogs, with a diver on standby. Over the course of the search, agencies participating include Ketchikan Volunteer Search and Rescue (KVRS), Southeast Alaska Dogs Organized for Ground Search (SEADOGS), Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and U.S. Forest Service Police. Troopers continue to follow up on all leads.

    On June 10, 2024, at 7:49pm, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a possible missing person. It was reported that Christiana Watt, age 48, of Ketchikan was missing and may be in the Ward Lake area of Ketchikan. Christiana’s vehicle was located in the Ward Lake parking lot, with her cell phone, wallet and ID inside. Search efforts by Alaska State Troopers, members of the United States Forest Service, the Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad, and SEADOGS are ongoing.  At this time the disappearance of Christiana is not considered suspicious. Anyone having contact or information regarding Christiana Watt is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan at 907-225-5118 and reference incident AK24055622.

    On 06/11/2024 at approximately 2112 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Big Lake Road and Beaver Lake for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Raymond Pointer, age 54 of Big Lake. Investigation revealed Raymond had an outstanding arrest warrant. Raymond was placed under arrest for the warrant and for a charge of Driving While License Revoked. Raymond was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial, where he was remanded. Bail was set at $250 cash performance.

    Type: Driving While License Suspended and Theft 4th Degree

    On 06/09/24 at 1207 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a theft of merchandise from a store in Wasilla. Investigation through video surveillance revealed Casey Johnson, age 42 of Kenai, had stolen items worth approximately $150.00. On 06/11/24 while AST was on patrol, Johnson drove past them and a traffic stop was initiated. A check of Johnson's Alaska drivers license showed he has a revoked driver’s license with previous convictions. Johnson was issued a summons for theft and a summons for driving while license revoked and released on scene.

    Type: Warrant Arrest, Trespass, Hindering Prosecution

    On 6/11/24 at approximately 1636 hours Palmer AST responded to an address on Triple B St in Wasilla for an anonymous tip on the whereabout of Emma Vanborg, age 24 of Wasilla who had an outstanding warrant for arrest for failing to appear on original charges of Assault 4th Degree. AST ultimately located and arrested Vanborg attempting to escape through a window after hiding in a crawlspace. The occupant of the residence, Shanna Inscho, age 36 of Wasilla, was arrested for Hindering Prosecution 2nd Degree. Both were transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where they were remanded. Inscho was remanded without bail on a charge of Hindering Prosecution 2nd Degree. Vanborg was remanded for her warrant and an additional charge of Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree with a total bail of $500.

    On 6/11/24 at approximately 0716 hours Palmer AST observed a vehicle known to belong to Aron Jonz, age 61 of Wasilla, parked at 3 Bears Big Lake. AST also observed Jonz exit the vehicle and enter the store. A routine check of APSIN/NCIC revealed Jonz had been trespassed for life from all 3 Bears properties as of December 2023. AST contacted Jonz and issued him a misdemeanor citation for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. Jonz was released from scene.

    On 6/11/24 AST contacted Edward Corns on a traffic stop near Big Lake and Forest Lake. Edward was found to have a $250.00 arrest warrant for failure to appear. Edward was arrested, transported and remanded at MSPT.

    On 6/10/2024 at approximately 1931 hours, AST recevied a report of a disturbance at a residence on Tweed Court in Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that Jerak Horn 31 YOA, violated a DVPO as well as his conditions of release.  It was also revealed that Jerak had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for violating his conditions of release.  Jerak was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail.

    On June 11, 2024, AST arrested Brandon R. Mike (32 yoa of Stebbins) for Unlawful Contact in the 1st Degree.  Investigation showed Mike, the defendant in an open DV criminal case, contacted the victim several times between May 31, 2024, and June 11, 2024. Mike was remanded to AMCC.

    On 06/10/2024 at approximately 2237 hours, Troopers were dispatched to 771 Badger Rd (Liquor Well) to conduct a welfare check on an individual sleeping in his vehicle. Troopers' investigation determined that Waldeks Kulakevich committed the crimes of DUI, Disorderly Conduct, and MICS 4. Waldeks was arrested and transported to FCC.

    Type: Parole Violation/Harming a Police Dog/Warrant Arrest

    On June 11, 2024, at approximately 0430 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received information that Joseph Arabie, 36, of Fairbanks was located in a commercial building near Lakloey Dr. Arabie was absconding from supervised Parole (o/c Assault II) and had an outstanding $1500 misdemeanor arrest warrant for Assault 4th Degree (ref. 4FA-24-00715CR).

    Fairbanks Patrol, the Criminal Suppression Unit, and members from the Aircraft Section and the Alaska Bureau of Investigation surrounded the building and attempted to call Arabie out. There was no response and Troopers began searching the building. Arabie was located in a crawlspace with equipment attempting to hide from Troopers and non-compliant with commands. K9 Kenny was deployed to apprehend Arabie. While K9 Kenny was attempting to apprehend Arabie, Arabie placed his legs around Kenny's neck in what appeared to be a scissor choke and appeared to begin strangling K9 Kenny. Troopers attempted less-lethal force options and attempted to manually free K9 Kenny from Arabie's grasp and engaged in an altercation with him within the crawlspace. 

    Arabie was finally taken into custody and medically cleared before being remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center. Arabie is charged with with Parole Violation, Harming a Police Dog, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on Police Officer x2.
