On June 15, 2022, at approximately 11:59 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault on the fishing vessel Silver Surfer. The caller did not know the vessel’s exact location, but Troopers were able to identify a probable location. On June 16, 2022, the Alaska Wildlife Trooper vessel P/V Loyalty based out of Ketchikan responded to the probable location and located the F/V Silver Surfer in the waters near Meyers Chuck. Troopers determined that 45-year-old Ketchikan resident David Vest had assaulted another individual on the boat multiple times. He was escorted back to Ketchikan and arrested without incident on charges of Assault II and Assault IV. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for their assistance with this investigation.

On 06/17/2022 at approximately 0849 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address near Crazy Pearsons Road in Wasilla following the report of an assault. Investigation revealed that Damion Minchaca, age 35 of Wasilla, assaulted a family. He was transported and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for Assault II-DV, Assault III- DV, and Assault IV – DV. He was held without bail pending arraignment.

On 06/16/2022 at approximately 2110 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance on N Creekwood Park Circle. Investigation revealed Jazilyn Washington assaulted a household member. Jazilyn was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility for DV Assault 4.

On 06/17/2022 at approximately 0304 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in Wasilla. Troopers responded and investigation revealed that Sergey Bolotov, Age 38 of Wasilla had caused a verbal disturbance. No crimes were reported, however Sergey had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for $250.00 for failure to comply with conditions of release of an original charge of Assault 4 and DUI refusal. Sergey was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trail.

On 06/16/22 at 2205 hours, AST contacted Allen Amaktoolik, age 45 of Golovin, in front of a residence in the Settlers Bay subdivision in Wasilla. Allen had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the original charge of Attempted Murder. Allen was arrested without incident and remanded into custody at the MSPT facility in Palmer where he was held without bail.

On 6/14/2022 at approximately 1709, Alaska State Troopers witnessed a disturbance between a male and a female. Investigation lead to the arrest of Mikayla Snowball, 22 y/o f Stebbins. She was transported and remanded to AMCC.

On 06/16/2022 at approximately 1803 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a hit and run. Preliminary investigation revealed a male intentionally ran over another male with his vehicle after seeing him near an ex-girlfriend's residence. Investigation is on-going.

On 06/17/2022 at approximately 0235 hours, AST and EMS in Fairbanks responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover at MP351 Parks Highway. Liam Miller, age 20 of Sitka was identified as the driver. Liam was transported to FMH where he was shortly released and ultimately arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Liam was remanded at FCC.

On 06/17/2022 AST in Fairbanks responded to the intersection of Badger and Peridot for a male threatening to kill people on the bike path. AST contacted a Devan Stockton who was extremely intoxicated and acting erratic. During the investigation Devan began to become agitated and spit on the responding Trooper. Devan ran from Troopers and was subsequently arrested. Devan was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment and resisting arrest.

On 6-17-22, at approximately 1720 hours, several 911 calls were placed reporting a fire at a property in the Cantwell. When AST arrived several local Cantwell residence were already trying to contain the fire. Cantwell Fire, McKinley Village Fire both responded and got the fire under control. The fire appears to have started in the only small structure that was used to store tools and miscellaneous items. The fire departments are staying on scene to monitor the smoldering/hot areas. AST would like to thank at the local Cantwell residence, Cantwell Fire department and the McKinley Village fire department for all their quick actions in this incident.

On 6/16/22 at 2050 hours Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault in Kaltag. On 6/17/22 at 1410 hours Wesley Alexie, age 26 of Kaltag was arrested at his residence in Kaltag without incident for Assault 3 - DV and Assault 4 - DV and remanded at FCC on no bail.

On 6/16/22, Sebastion Goettling, age 23 of Wasilla, was cited for dipnetting and possession of personal use fish without a permit. The unlawful catch, consisting of 48 sockeye and 1 chinook were seized. Arraignment is set for 7/19/22 in Glennallen Court.

On 6/16/22, Orlan Castronuevo, age 47 of Anchorage, was cited for a proxy fishing violation. Castronuevo was in possession of a chinook salmon he state he caught with a dipnet for a beneficiary. Castronuevo did not have in possession the beneficiary's Chitina Personal Use Dipnet Permit. The unlawfully taken chinook was seized and Castronuevo was issued a summons to appear in Glennallen Court on 7/19/22.
