On 7/5/2024 at approximately 0729 hours, Soldotna AST conducted a traffic stop near Kenai Spur Highway and Melody Ln. on a black 1989 Chevrolet pickup for traveling above the posted speed limit. The driver was identified as Brandon Mark Borchgrevink, 34 YOA of Nikiski. An APSIN check revealed Borchgrevink’s License is suspended for a DMV Points System violation. Borchgrevink has multiple prior DWLS citations and convictions within the last 10 years. Borchgrevink was confirmed to be on conditions of release that state he is to obey all laws and not drive without a valid license. Borchgrevink was arrested for Driving while License Suspended and Violating Conditions of Release. Borchgrevink was transported to Wildwood Pretrial without issue.

On 7/3/2024 at approximately 2100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was operating erratically on the Seward Highway in Seward. Investigation revealed that Abraham Grisham, age 50, of Kenai, was operating a motor vehicle under the influence and also did not possess a license due to a revocation. Datamaster showed that Grisham had a BrAC of .266%. Grisham was issued summons to appear and released to a sober custodian.

Location: NinilchikType: Eluding 1st, Reckless Driving, Warrant ArrestDispatch Text:
On 7/5/24 at 1425 hours, Troopers attempted to stop a motorcycle being driven by Tanner Geiser, 36 of Soldotna, near mile 153 of the Sterling Highway. Geiser had an outstanding warrant for felony probation violation. Geiser failed to stop and led Troopers on a lengthy pursuit for approximately 30 minutes. During the pursuit, Geiser passed vehicles in no passing zones, on the shoulders of the road, and reached speeds in excess of 100 mph. Geiser was finally taken into custody when he drove down a dead-end road off Oilwell Road in Ninilchik. Geiser was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail on the original warrant and new charges of Eluding 1st and Reckless Driving. He was held without bail.

On 07/04/2024, at approximately 1130 hours, AST received a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) complaint about a vehicle driving all over the road and swerving into the opposing lane in Moose Pass. AST contacted the operator of the vehicle, Jimmy Sweatt, age 60 of Anchorage. Sweat was determined to be driving distracted and had alcohol in his system, but was determined to be impaired. He was issued a summons to appear for Reckless Driving.

Investigation revealed, Dakota Lanahan, age 27 of Wasilla, recklessly caused physical injury to a family member. Dakota was arrested and remanded at MSPT without bail pending arraignment.

On 7-5-24 at approximately 0010 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Yak Road. Investigation showed that Dana George, age 22, of Fairbanks, was operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Datamaster showed that George had a BrAc of .304%. George was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 7/27/2024, at approximately 2058 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers were patrolling at the south Kasilof Beach Upper Cook Inlet Dipnet Site. Thomas Lapp, age 34, from Wasilla, and Hillary Hill, age 32, from Palmer, were contacted dipnetting. Investigation revealed they failed to log their personal use salmon on their Upper Cook Inlet Permits per state regulations. Both were issued a bailable citation.
