On 9/27/24, at approximately 2159 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received numerous complaints of an aggressive male, who was yelling and throwing items at vehicles, in the area of the S. Tongass Hwy in Saxman. Several callers identified the male as Randall Blair, age 41, of Saxman. Blair was also reported to be carrying a club like item. AST responded to the area, located Blair, and ultimately were able to detain him without incident. Investigation led to Blair being arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree (x3), Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree (x2), and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. Blair was remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On 09/28/2024, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks stopped Jaheim Langston, 22, for a lighting violation. The stop resulted in his arrest for DUI, two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th Degree, and Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 5th Degree. He was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On September 28th 2024, at about 0949 hours, Troopers received a REDDI report at miles 308 of the Richardson Highway. Upon contact with the REDDI report and further investigation, Troopers placed the driver, Sherry Lowry, under arrest for DUI. Sherry was remanded to FCC without further incident.

On 09/26/2024 Fairbanks Adult Probation Office (FAPO) contacted Fairbanks Dispatch requesting Alaska State Troopers (AST) assistance to check on a probationer, Travis N.H. Karshekoff, age 39, located in Tanacross. On 09/27/2024 at approximately 1011 hours, AST located Travis walking briskly away down 3rd Ave. AST gave commands to Travis to stop his movement and remove his hands from his pockets. Travis initially indicated he was complying and then proceeded to flee on foot into the nearing tree line. Being in close proximity, AST pursued Travis and detained him without further incident. While in contact with Travis an odor of alcohol was present about his person and FAPO was contacted and requested AST to remand Travis on a Probation and Parole Violation(s). Travis was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held without bail.

On 09/27/2024 at approximately 1344 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a runaway juvenile from a residence off E. Willow Ave. in Tok. Investigation revealed no reports of disturbance between the involved parties. With the assistance of Tok community members the juvenile was located and reunited with family members without incident.

On 09/27/2024 at approximately 2149 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an intoxicated individual at Fast Eddy’s Restaurant in Tok. Dispatch advised the individual is identified as, Roylon E. Mark, age 39. At that time Roylon was absconding on two arrest warrants, 4TO-23-00112CR and 4TO-23-00104CR. Roylon is also on Conditions of Release not to possess or consume alcohol. As AST contacted Roylon he proceeded to open a shooter and quickly drink it before apprehension. Roylon was placed under arrest and charged with another count of Violation of Conditions of Release. Roylon was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held on bail.

On 09/27/2024 at approximately 2335 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) near mile marker 1323 of the Alaska Hwy. near Tok. Fairbanks Dispatch advised the caller reported observed swerving behavior and the vehicle appeared to be over-heating. On 09/28/2024 at approximately 0020 hours, AST located the vehicle near 1320 of the AK Hwy. and conducted a traffic stop on a green 1992 Honda Accord bearing AK plate EKY617. The sole occupant located in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running was contacted and a Driving Under the Influence investigation was conducted. The impairment is suspected to stem from the use of controlled substances and investigation is still ongoing pending toxicology results. Upon review of the results the charging decision will be made.

Location: KodiakType: Sport Fish Without Sport Fishing License, Fail To Release Snagged FishDispatch Text:
On 09/27/2024 Kodiak AWT contacted James Hill Jr., age 50 of Kodiak, while he was sport fishing on Monashka Creek. Investigation revealed that Hill was sport fishing without a sport fishing license and unlawfully snagged and retained one Coho salmon while sport fishing on fresh water. Hill was issued a citation for Sport Fishing Without a Sport Fishing License with a fine of $220 and a citation for Fail to Release Snagged Fish with a fine of $120.
