On 9/22/22, at 1106 hours, A NWS employee reported he traveled to Nenana because the weather station was not transmitting a signal. Upon arrival the tech discovered the weather station had been entered and equipment was missing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact AST at 907-451-5100.

On September 22, 2022 at approximately 10:09 pm, the Alaska State Troopers and VPSO contacted Kane Evan, age 41 of Nenana, at a residence in Nenana. Evan was subsequently arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant that was issued for Failure to Appear with the original charges of Harassment 2 and Theft 4 in court case 4NE-22-00055CR. Evan was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held on a bail set at $2500 appearance bond with a 10% cash posting requirement.

On 9/18/22, Tok Wildlife Troopers, cited Andrew Boeckman, age 42, of Sac City, IA for taking a moose closed season in GMU 12. Boeckman, a non-resident, did harvest a sub-legal moose, 47 3/4" with 3 x 3 brow tines. A legal bull moose in this area is 50" or at least 4 brow tines on one side. Arraignment is scheduled for 10/20/22 at 1330 hours in Tok District Court.

Arraignment is scheduled for 10/27/22 at 1500 hours in Tok District Court.

On 9/21/22, Nick Patterson, age 28 of Gakona, was issued a summons to appear in Glennallen Court for failing to salvage all the edible meat of a bull moose and for removing the antlers from the killsite prior to transporting the edible meat out of the field. Arraignment is set for 10/4/22.

On 10/4/22, Nicholas Patterson pled guilty in Glennallen Court to both counts, fail to salvage, and antlers before meat. He was sentenced to pay a $500 fine for each count, and ordered to forfeit the antlers, as well as the rib meat seized by AWT that was left at the killsite. Patterson was also ordered to forfeit the rifle used in the incident.

On 9/7/22, Shawn Naber, age 40 of Anchorage, was contacted by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers conducting an enforcement patrol in the Wrangell Mountains. Naber was cited for taking a sub-legal Dall Sheep and the horns, meat, and cape were seized. Arraignment is set for 10/4/22 in Glennallen Court.
