On 7/27/21, in the Petersburg District Court, Orion Fenner age 39 of Petersburg, plead guilty to one count of Commercial Gillnet Closed Waters.  The conviction is the result of an Alaska Wildlife Trooper investigation that showed Fenner, the permit holder aboard the F/v  Commando, commercially fished in the closed waters of Frederick Sound near Petersburg on 6/29/20.  Fenner was sentenced to pay fines of $15,000 with $10,000 suspended, pay restitution of $5957, forfeit additional fish in his possession, and placed on probation for two years.
