On February 26, 2023, at approximately 0242 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks were contacted by two different vehicles stuck in the snow near the top of Murphy Dome Road. The weather conditions were deteriorating, and one vehicle was almost out of gas. Tow trucks were unable to reach the vehicles. Troopers responded and provided transportation for the motorists into Fairbanks.
