On 3/5/21, at 1358 hours, State Troopers attempted to stop a Hyundai Elantra on Trunk road for speeding. The driver, later identified as Donald Caulkins, 32 yoa of Wasilla, attemped to elude the Trooper and drove recklessly through a subdivision at high rates of speed. Caulkins eventually drove down a dead end street and into a private drive, where he fled from the vehicle on foot. After running from the Trooper a short distance, Caulkins attempted to hide inside the garage of a resident in the area. When confronted by the homeowner, Caulkins again fled and was apprehended by Troopers immediately. Investigation revealed Caulkins was on parole for numerous felonies and had multiple no-bail parole violation warrants for his arrest. Caulkins was arrested and remanded on his warrants and faces additional charges of Fail to Stop for a Peace Officer 1 and Criminal Trespass.
