On 8/3/21, at 1410 hours, the Nenana VPSO observed a large black smoke column south of the City of Nenana. City Fire Dispatch was advised a smoke investigation was being conducted. The fire was discovered to be a pick up truck owned by the Alaska Railroad Corporation. The vehicle was burning on the RR tracks a half mile south of Cemetery road. The vehicle was fully involved upon arrival and the vegetation was beginning to burn. Local fire departments and DOF were requested to responed to this incident. By 1600 hours, the fires were under control and overhaul operations were being conducted.
