On 9/16/2021 at approximately 1108 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a call to assist Palmer Pre-Trial Enforcement Officers at a residence in Wasilla to arrest 37-year old Mallory Bloomquist of Wasilla for a warrant. When PED Officers attempted to contact Mallory, Mallory stated she had a "bomb". Upon Trooper arrival, Mallory stated she was going to set the house on fire. Moments later AST was able to gain access to the house and Mallory exited the residence. Before Mallory exited the house, Mallory set the house on fire. The house was ultimately a loss. Mallory was arrested for the original warrant. Mallory was also remanded for DV Criminal Mischief in 1st Degree for having for intentionally damaging property of another exceeding $100,000 by the use of widely dangerous means, DV Arson in the 1st Degree for intentionally damages any property by starting a fire by and recklessly placing another person in danger of serious physical injury, DV Arson in the 2nd Degree for knowingly damaging a building by starting a fire, and Terroristic Threatening in the 2nd Degree for making threats that a circumstance dangerous to human life or property and placing a person in reasonable fear of serious physical injury to any person by means of a dangerous instrument.
