On October 22, 2021, at approximately 1549 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report that 62-year-old Palmer resident Brian Bohman was found unconscious and bleeding in his residence by a family member. Troopers and local EMS responded to the scene. When Troopers arrived they located Bohman inside his home with multiple stab wounds. Bohman ultimately died from the wounds he sustained. Other responding Troopers spotted an adult male walking down a nearby road with a blood-covered knife in his hand and blood on his clothes. Troopers arrested the adult male without incident, the man was identified as 27-year-old Palmer resident Garrett Livingston. Further investigation revealed that Livingston was currently living on Bohman’s property. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing. Livingston was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on charges of Murder 1 and Murder 2. Bohman’s remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death. Next of kin has been notified.
