UPDATE: As of 1530 hours, the roadway was re-opened. Investigation at this time revealed the collision occurred when a 2012 Honda Civic conducted a U-Turn in front of a 2016 Ford F350 and was t-boned. A passenger in the Honda Civic was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Alcohol or other impairment does not appear to be a factor. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.

ORIGINAL: On 12/02/2021 at approximately 1346 hours, Palmer Bureau of Highway Patrol (BHP) Troopers responded to W. Sunset Avenue & Gon Fishin Drive in Wasilla for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Initial investigation revealed a two vehicle collision with multiple injuries. At this time, two people are being transported with life-threatening injury. The roadways will be closed for approximately one hour as BHP Troopers will be documenting the scene with a sUAS (drone).
