On 6/16/22, at approximately 0034 hours, Alaska State Troopers, Palmer Post, received a report for a motor vehicle crash on E. Pike Avenue in Palmer.  Investigation revealed the driver, Clara Napageak, age 24 of Wasilla, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol when she drove into the ditch.  Further investigation revealed Napageak was on conditions of release from a separate criminal case, with conditions that she not consume of possess alcohol, or contact the victim in that case.  Investigation revealed in addition to violating her conditions of release by consuming alcohol, she also contacted the victim from that case on multiple occasions while in the presence of law enforcement, even after being told not to do so.  Napageak was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence, and three counts of violating her conditions of release.  She was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where she was held without bail pending an arraignment.
