On 07/31/2022, at approximately 2236 hours, staff at the Cooks Tesoro service station reported that a man was in the store causing a disturbance for the second time that evening. The man had previously been told he was trespassed from the store and not to return. Troopers arrived and were told the man had stolen items as well. Troopers located the man, Arthur Reekie, age 44 of Anchorage. Reekie had over $270 worth of merchandise concealed on his person. It was also discovered that he had entered an abandoned residence before he trespassed at the service station. He was arrested for one count of first degree and one count of second degree criminal trespass, concealment of merchandise, and third degree theft. Reekie kicked a trooper during the investigation and was also arrested for fourth degree assault on a police officer. He was remanded at the Wildwood pretrial facility.
