On 08/03/2022 at approximately 2038 hours, the Alaska State Trooper Anchor Point K9 Team conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Isabelle Road and Sterling Highway for a speeding infraction. Investigation revealed the same vehicle was called in as a REDDI in Homer at approximately 1836 hours. The driver and only occupant was identified as Joseph Hurlbut, age 37 of Ohio. A search of the vehicle revealed Joseph was in possession of controlled substances. Joseph was issued two criminal summons for Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, with a mandatory court date.
