AST responded to a disturbance in the Soapstone area and contacted Deven Werts (age 24 of Palmer). Investigation revealed that Werts assaulted a neighbor by throwing a snow shovel at them and striking them. There were no reported injuries. Werts was taken into custody and transported to the Palmer Pretrial Facility without incident. Werts was charged with one count of  Assault in the Fourth Degree. Werts is being held at the Palmer Pretrial Facility on $500.00 bail pending arraignment.
