On 10/26/24 at approximately 1745 hours, Alaska State Troopers and Wasilla Police Department responded to Red Fox Drive in Wasilla for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Witnesses reported after the accident, the occupants, identified as Michael Loe, age 58, of Wasilla, and Cassandra Westlake, age 23, of Selawik, were in a physical altercation. When Law Enforcement arrived, both Loe and Westlake fled on foot into the woods. A perimeter was set, and both were later taken into custody without incident. A records check revealed that Loe had outstanding warrants for his arrest on the original charges of Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer and DUI. Westlake had outstanding warrants for her arrest on the original charges of Arson, Criminal Mischief, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance. Both were arrested for their warrants and transported to MSPT for remand. The investigation is ongoing.
