On 3/22/2025 at about 1936 hours,  the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, in Wasilla, received a report of an overdue snowmachiner in the area of Bald Mountain, near Talkeetna.  The initial report indicated a 33 year old male, from Wasilla, had become separated from his group while riding and efforts to locate him were unsuccessful.  On 03/23/2025, an Alaska Army National Guard helicopter, Wildlife Troopers and State Park Rangers responded to the area. At approximately 0900 hours, the Guard Helicopter was able to locate the subject at a remote cabin near the top of Bald Mountain.   No injuries were reported.
