UPDATE: After Kerr was remanded a user amount of methamphetamine was found hidden on his person. Kerr is now being charged with the additional charges of Promoting Contraband 1st (Class C Felony) and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance (Class C Felony).

On 07/23/2025 at approximately 0921 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a gray Dodge Charger for a moving violation and expired registration on the Parks Highway near Palmer Wasilla Highway. Investigation revealed the passenger, Ronald Kerr, age 29 of Wasilla, had violated his probation. Kerr was arrested and remanded to MAT-SU Pretrial on a Probation Violation.
