On February 4, 2026, AST responded to a reported disturbance near Vine and Hollywood involving John Davenport, age 35 of Wasilla. Witness statements and interviews revealed that John confronted two individuals in the driveway while armed with a shotgun, pointed the weapon toward them, and threatened to kill one of them. A child inside the residence observed John with the shotgun during the incident. John was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault in the Third Degree (DV) and one count of Assault in the Presence of a Child. He was transported to Palmer Pretrial Facility without incident and he is being held without bail, pending arraignment.
