On June 11, 2026, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a possible sexual assault in Tuntutuliak. The incident was referred to the Alaska State Trooper's Western Major Crimes unit for investigation. A preliminary investigation determined that 24-year-old Tuntutuliak resident Jared Enoch had provided alcohol to a teenager and then sexually assaulted the juvenile. On June 12, 2026, Enoch was arrested by Troopers and remanded to Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center on charges of Sexual Assault I, Sexual Assault II, Sexual Abuse of a Minor II, and Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor in a Dry Village.
