On 7/5/26 at approximately 1448 hours, while on routine patrol an AST Trooper observed a white van traveling at a high rate of speed on the Sterling Highway near mile marker 143. The Trooper initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Lawrence E. Triplett (41 YOA) of Soldotna. Triplett had an active arrest warrant out of Navajo County, Arizona for Robbery, Aggravated Shoplifting, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Obstructing a Criminal Investigation, Burglary in the 2nd degree, another Burglary in the 2nd degree, and Burglary in the 3rd degree with a bail of $50,000.00. AST confirmed with Navajo County Sheriff’s Office that they would extradite Triplett. Triplett was arrested on his warrant and transported to Homer Jail.
