On 07/07/2026 at approximately 0004 hours, AST observed a white GMC pickup near Lucille St in Wasilla commit multiple traffic violations before fleeing at a high rate of speed. The driver, later identified as Wyatt Baker, age 21 of Anchorage, continued through red lights and stop signs, reaching speeds in excess of 80 MPH. The vehicle was stopped a short time later with assistance from the Wasilla Police Department. Baker was transported to MSPT in Palmer. He was remanded on charges of Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer and Misconduct involving controlled substance 5. Bail was set at no bail.
