On 07/09/2026, at approximately 1948 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Levi Cathey, age 13, and Scott Cathey, age 70, of California, who were fishing at the mouth of Crooked Creek. Scott was supervising his grandson Levi, who was fishing in closed waters. Scott was issued a strict liability citation for fishing in closed waters.
