On July 16, 2026, ABI completed an alcohol manufacturing and dealing investigation in Shishmaref. An investigation determined that James K. Wilson (60 yoa Shishmaref) manufactured and sold homebrewed alcohol in a local option community (Shishmaref) between December 2025 and March 2026. ABI served a search warrant at Wilson's house and seized a still and an active solution of "moonshine" in March 2026. Subsequent investigation showed that Wilson sold alcohol to some residents in Shishmaref. Wilson was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant charging him with five (5) counts of permit required to manufacture and sell alcohol. Wilson was remanded to AMCC.
