On July 11, 2026, at 5:30 pm, Alaska State Troopers received a report of sexual abuse of a minor. The victim reported that they had been sexually assaulted by 47-year-old Akiachak resident Lewis Lomack. On July 14, 2026, following a thorough investigation, Lomack was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 2nd Degree, two counts of Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree, one count of attempted Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, one count of attempted Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 2nd Degree, and Interfering with Official Proceedings. Investigators believe there are additional victims, and the investigation is ongoing.
