On July 13, 2026, at 6:00 pm, Alaska State Troopers received a request for medical assistance at the lighthouse on Sentinel Island, near Juneau. AST responded, and investigation revealed an adult female tourist had fallen and severely injured her hip. A helicopter was used to transport the injured individual to Juneau for medical care.
