At 0308 hours on 22 August 2026, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on an ATV at University Drive and Airport Way. The ATV fled, eventually wrecking behind the airport near Industrial Drive.
Investigation revealed that the driver, Parker Wayne Ray-Kestner, was Driving Under the Influence. He was also charged with Failure to Stop. His passenger, Owen Glen Patrick Ray, was cited for Minor Consuming Alcohol and later arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
Both subjects were remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
