On August 25, 2026 at about 1414 hours, Alaska State Park Rangers, Alaska State Troopers, Federal Law Enforcement assigned to Mukluk Fire, and Village Public Safety Officers responded to a REDDI report stating an intoxicated male on an ATV was harassing firefighters in the Tok area. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Patrick Cleary, age 69 of Tok, for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test, Reckless Driving, and Disorderly Conduct. Cleary was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held on $2000 bail pending arraignments.
