On 10/19/2026 Troopers received a call from members of Stevens Village that there was a critical injury to one of their members. Both Life Med and Guardian were unable to make the rescue attempt due to the conditions. Troopers coordinated with Alaska Rescue Coordination Center and retrieved the injured party. The injured party has received medical care from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and is expected to recover.
