AK22006729Location: KenaiType: DUI / MIW
On 01/21/2022 at approximately 2310 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation at mile 16.5 Kalifornsky Beach Road in Kenai. AST contacted Matthew Holley, 34 years old of Soldotna. Investigation revealed he was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was also in possession of a firearm. Holley's breath alcohol concentration was .102 g's/210L. He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility for driving under the influence and fourth degree misconduct involving weapons.

AK21133698Location: WasillaType: Warrant Arrest
On 01/22/21 at approximately 1800 hours, members of the Palmer Criminal Suppression unit and Troopers contacted Jaime Wooley (28) of Wasilla near Pittman and Silver during and investigation. The investigation revealed she has 3 outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial. She was held on $400 bail. The original charges were Theft 4 and Concealment of Merchandise.

AK22005854Location: WasillaType: Vehicle Theft 1st/ Theft 2/ MIW 3rd/ MICS 4th
On 01/22/22 at approximately 1500 hours, Alaska State Troopers and members of the Palmer Criminal Suppression unit conducted a joint investigation in the area of Pittman and Silver Way. During the investigation, Cole Ward (30) of Wasilla was arrested for 3 counts of Vehicle Theft 1st, Theft 2nd (2 counts), Theft 1st, MIW 3rd and MICS 4th. Ward over the past several months has been stealing off road vehicles and re-selling them on social media. The investigation is on going with numerous victims. If anyone has further information on similar cases please contact the Alaska State Troopers in Palmer. Ward was booked into Matsu Pretrial and was being held without bail.

AK22006766Location: FairbanksType: Felony Eluding
On January 22, 2022, at 2:50 am, an Alaska State Trooper in a marked vehicle attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver car for erratic driving. Once the trooper attempted to stop the vehicle by activating his emergency lights the vehicle sped up and failed to stop. The car continued to elude Troopers for approximately 30 minutes and nearly struck a pedestrian. The suspect vehicle also drove in the wrong direction on several main roads where other drivers were present. Troopers executed a PIT maneuver that successfully stopped the vehicle near the Ester Gas Station on the Old Nenana Highway. The driver, 47–year-old Fairbanks resident Benjamin Rucker, was arrested without further incident for active felony warrants as well as Felony Eluding. Rucker was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 01/20/2022 the Alaska State Troopers in the Fairbanks Rural Unit received a report of an assault which happened in the community of Beaver. Investigation determined Cole Williams, age 22 from Beaver assaulted another member of the community causing the victim to have to be air lifted to FMH for treatment. Williams was arrested for Assault 2nd and Assault 4th and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held without bail pending arraignment. Alcohol was considered to be a contributing factor.

AK Wildlife Troopers
AK21127979Location: JuneauType: Permit Required/Permit Required to Possess/Falsification on Fish Ticket
On 01/22/2022 at 1338 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Juneau cited Ashtin Kenney, age 25 of Juneau, with two counts of Operating Commercial Fishing Gear without a CFEC Permit, two counts of Possessing Shellfish Without a Valid CFEC Permit, and two counts of Falsifying Fish Tickets. All violations occurred the 2021 Winter Dungeness crab season. Each violation carries a misdemeanor level charge. Arraignment is scheduled for 02/22/2022 at the Juneau District Court.
Additionally, Troopers cited Brent Harrington, age 20 of Sitka, for Commercial Fish Closed Season and No Buoys Markings on commercial dungeness gear. Both violations carry a mandatory court appearance. Arraignment is scheduled for 02/23/2022 at the Juneau District Court.
