Fuller originally stated that fog was a factor and caused limited visibility. Ultimately, he stated that he was tired and may have fallen asleep when he rear-ended a gray 2019 GMC Acadia being driven by 31-year-old North Pole resident Michelle Johnson. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Fuller sustained minor injuries and was transported to FMH by EMS. The Cobalt was totaled, and the Acadia sustained rear-bumper damage but remained functional.
