On 10/06/2026 at approximately 19:46 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Island Lake Drive. AST responded and investigation revealed Frances Murphy age 67 of Wasilla assaulted someone in the residence. Murphy was arrested, transported and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on Assault 4 where her bail was set at no bail.

On October 6, 2026, at 11:24 pm, the Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle on the Parks Highway for a moving violation. During the stop, Troopers suspected the driver was intoxicated. After standard field sobriety tests were conducted, the driver, 43-year-old Wasilla resident Matthew Moore, was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without incident.

On 10/07/2026 at 1445 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Knik Goose Bay Road for an ATV driving on the bike path. Investigation revealed, Leonard Knox 51 YOA had a warrant for his arrest, original charge Driving on a Revoked License. Knox was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on his warrants.

On 10/03/2026 at approximately 1704 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) heading southbound on the Parks Hwy. near mile marker 82. The vehicle was described as a red Dodge pickup. Shortly after Matcom dispatch received an additional call involving a similar vehicle that had lost control and went into the ditch. Investigation resulted in Tyrone Leonard, age 41, was found to be impaired and was arrested for Driving while Under the Influence of Alcohol. Leonard was processed on Datamaster and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on OR bail.

On October 27, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of sexual abuse of a minor in Scammon Bay. Following a thorough investigation, on October 6, 2026, Troopers arrested 19-year-old Frank Tunutmoak of Scammon Bay and remanded him to YKCC on the charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 2nd Degree and Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree.

On 10/07/2026 at approximately 0125 hours, Nenana AST responded to Front St. Nenana for a report of a disturbance. Investigation showed, Tanna Fairbanks, age 40 of Nenana, assaulted a family member causing injury. Tanna was arrested for Assault 4th and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail.

Investigation showed Anthony had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for the original charges of Driving with a Revoked License. Anthony was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

At approximately 0530 hours on 27 September 2026, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Richardson HWY and Old Richardson HWY for a non-injury vehicle collision. The vehicle had struck a moose, disabling the vehicle and killing the moose.
The driver had a private tow enroute for his vehicle.
Troopers requested a charity for the moose.

Investigation revealed Russell Moses, 41 YOA, assaulted multiple family members in the presence of children. Moses was remanded to FCC on charges relating to Assault 4th Degree/DV and Assault in the Presence of a Child.

In August 2026, Task Force Dawnbreaker received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that a user in the Wasilla area was distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). An investigation identified Dale Weeg, age 71 of Wasilla, as the user. On October 6, 2026, Weeg was contacted and arrested without incident on Distribution and Possession of CSAM charges. Weeg was remanded to MSPT on no bail.

On October 2, 2026, the Alaska State Troopers arrested 66-year-old Wasilla resident Ernest Geisler, in Homer, on a warrant for historical incidents of sexual abuse that occurred in Wasilla. Geisler was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial on one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree, five counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 2nd Degree, and three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 3rd Degree.
