On 02/10/2024 at 2046 hours Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop in Anchor Point for an equipment violation. Investigation determined Alaya Scott, age 22 from Anchor Point was driving without any insurance. Scott was issued misdemeanor summons for No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance and VCOR.

Location: WasillaType: Felony DUI, Resisting Arrest, DWLRDispatch Text:
On 2/9/24 at approximately 1411 hours AST responded to a residence on Arctic Fox Cir, in Wasilla, for a disturbance. Kyle Self, age 32, of Wasilla had driven to the location while intoxicated by alcohol for the purposes of fixing a relationship with an adult female at the residence. Upon AST arrival, Self was attempting to leave, almost causing a collision with a fully marked AST patrol vehicle. After the on-scene investigation was complete, AST attempted to place Self under arrest. Self resisted arrest and claimed self-defense against AST. Self was subsequently remanded to MSPT under the charges of Felony DUI (2 prior DUI convictions within 10-years), Disorderly Conduct, and Driving on a Revoked License. No bail was set. Self provided a BrAC of 0.164. Alcohol was a contributing factor in this incident.

On 2/3/2024, at approximately 1215 hours, AST responded to the area of Old Glenn Highway and Robin Ln for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, a disabled pickup was located in the intersection of Old Glenn and Clark Wolverine. The driver, Michael Chowaniec, age 69 of Palmer, was struck by a vehicle traveling the opposite direction. The offending vehicle came to rest in the snow bank, and was pulled out by a good Samaritan.
Upon being pulled out, the vehicle was parked in a nearby parking lot, and then the driver left the area, later to return approximately 1.5 hour later. The driver, identified as a 15yoa juvenile, stated his mom told him to leave, never calling 911 to report the collision, or checking on the status of the other driver. The juvenile was issued a citation for causing the collision, and a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident was sent to Department of Juvenile Justice for review.

On 02/10/2024, at approximately 1525 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a domestic violence incident in the area of W. Bluff View Dr. in Wasilla. AST responded to the residence, and the investigation revealed that 22 YOA Ryan Dunn of Wasilla assaulted a family member. Ryan was placed under arrest for Assault in the 4th degree and transported to Palmer Pretrial, where he was remanded and held without bail.

Location: WillowType: Burglary, Theft 2nd, Criminal Trespass 1Dispatch Text:
On 02/09/2024, at approximately 1800 hours, AST received a report of a Burglary near Crystal Lake Rd, Willow. Throughout the investigation, it was determined two male individuals forced entry into the cabin and stole several thousands of dollars in property then fled the scene. The next evening, both suspects returned to the residence. Troopers responded to the area, locating the suspect vehicle which led to the arrest of Ronald Hildebrand, age 45 of Willow, and Jeremiah Proveauex, age 37 of Willow. Subsequent investigation resulted in Troopers executing a search warrant of Ronald’s residence. This led to the recovery of the stolen property. Troopers also recovered several stolen vehicles. Both males were remanded at MSPT without bail pending arraignment. Additionally, Troopers located Patrick Dean, age 33 of Willow hiding in the residence. Dean had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Trespass 1st degree.

On 2/10/2024, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to a vehicle in a ditch off Farmers Loop in Fairbanks. Investigation determined the driver, Stephanie Stotts (33 years old), was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Stephanie was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on 1x count of DUI.
