  On March 17th, 2026 at approximately 2350 hours, the Alaska State Troopers saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed near mile 163 of the Sterling Highway. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Michael Hattingh, age 35 of Big Lake, for one count of DUI. Michael was remanded to the Homer Jail.

  Type: Assault II, IV and Interfering with a report of a DV crime

  On 3/17/2026, at approximately 1333 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in the area of Wrangler Street in Palmer. AST contacted Jacob Steele, age 35 of Palmer. Investigation revealed he assaulted a family member and interfered with a report of a DV crime. Jacob was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he was remanded and held without bail.

  On March 17, 2026, at approximately 0100 hours, AST responded to a residence in Wasilla in an attempt to locate Amy Padie, age 43 of Wasilla, on multiple outstanding warrants. Amy was arrested along with William Boardman, age 51 of Eagle River, who also had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Both were remanded on their warrants and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial.

  Type: New Owner Secure Transfer of Title

  On March 17, 2026, at approximately 2208 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop for multiple equipment violations in the area of Delta Junction. The driver, Michelle Huddleston, age 55 of Delta Junction, was contacted. Investigation resulted in Huddleston being issued a misdemeanor summons for New Owner to Secure Transfer of Registration/Title. She was additionally issued two other minor offense citations.
