    Dispatch Text:

    On 1/23/2026, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a report of a suspicious vehicle off Basargin Road in Fox River. The vehicle was located and it was determined no crimes had been committed. Both occupants reported to AST that someone had chased them out of the parking lot, discharging a firearm while doing so. The driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was transported to Homer Jail.

    Subsequent investigation led to Michael Shadley, age 53 of Homer, being charged for Assault in the 3rd degree. Michael was issued a summons to appear in Homer court and released.

    Type: Death Investigation

    Dispatch Text:

    On January 25, 2026, at 4:10 pm, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a deceased male lying on a road in Wasilla. The investigation revealed that Amalgam Mobley, age 18, of Wasilla, was deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Next of kin was notified, the State Medical Examiner's Office responded, and took possession of the remains to conduct an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.

    On 01/25/2026 at 1115 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a theft. Investigation revealed, Brooke Mitchell 25 YOA, failed to pay her cab fare from Anchorage to Wasilla. A Charge of Theft 4th is being referred to the Palmer Courts requesting a summons.

    On January 25, 2026, at 9:42 am, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a missing person in the Village of Alakanuk. The Alakanuk VPSO stated that the Alakanuk SAR had been searching for a 23-year-old female who left the village the previous night, heading toward Nunam Iqua, but had never arrived. Searchers located her 4-wheeler around five miles outside the village, heading towards Emmonak. At 6:30 that evening, an Alaska State Trooper and a VPSO located the missing person lying in the snow around two miles outside of Emmonak on the Yukon River. They were able to transport her to the Emmonak Clinic, where she was treated for hypothermia.

    On January 26, 2026 investigation by Alaska State Troopers in Tok resulted in Michael Stober, age 32 of Tok, being charged with two counts of Unlawful Contact in the First Degree. Stober was in custody at the Fairbanks Correctional Center and was remanded pending arraignment on the new charges.
