On 2/13/25 at approximately 0229 hours Palmer AST responded to a report of someone trespassing near a residence on S Oat St in Wasilla. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Don King, age 34 of Wasilla for 1 count Burglary 1st Degree, 3 counts Burglary 2nd Degree, 2 counts Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, 1 count Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, 1 count Possession of Burglary Tools and 1 count Resisting Arrest. King was remanded to Mat Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

On February 12th, 2025 at approximately 1850 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report that Jaylene Chikigak (30F) of Fairbanks was violating her conditions of release. Additionally, Jaylene was reported to be unlawfully contacting a victim of Domestic Violence. Investigation is still ongoing.

On February 13, 2025, at approximately 0004 hours, AST responded to the Summit Rd and Farmers Loop area for a motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that a moose had entered the roadway and a vehicle collided with it, causing disabling damage to the vehicle.

On 02/13/2025 at approximately 1059 hours Nenana AST responded to approximately mile 298 Parks Hwy for multiple REDDI reports of a dangerous driver. Reports indicated a red Jeep was swerving, alternating speeds, and went into the ditch. Investigation showed Traci Butz, 37 of Fairbanks was driving under the influence of alcohol. Traci was arrested and slipped her hand cuffs while in custody. During the investigation Traci refused to submit to a chemical test of her breath. Traci was remanded at Fairbank Correctional Center.

On 02/13/2025 at approximately 1336 hours, Nenana AST responded to a report of a vehicle accident with injuries near mile 320 Parks Hwy. Investigation showed a large military vehicle went into the ditch through a guardrail causing damage and injuries to the driver and passenger. The driver and passenger were both transported to Fairbanks for evaluation with minor injuries. The vehicle recovery caused temporary road closures and is on going.
