On February 6, 2026, at approximately 1837 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a silver Jeep. The vehicle was reported to be traveling at 35-40 mph, crossing into the oncoming lane of travel multiple times and almost causing head on collisions with the oncoming vehicles. AST located the vehicle and contacted sole occupant and driver, Shannon Riley, age 60, of Anchor Point. AST's investigation led to the arrest of Shannon for one count of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Shannon was transported and remanded to the Homer Jail.

On 06 February 2026, at approximately 0945 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop while northbound on the Craig-Klawock Highway. Following investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Joleen Jackman (39F of Klawock) was found to be in possession of controlled substances and presumed to be under the influence of controlled substances while operating her motor vehicle. Joleen was arrested and remanded to Craig Jail for one count of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and one count of DUI.

On 02-06-2026 AST contacted Ivan Julian (05-16-1988) in Wasilla. Ivan was investigated for DUI. AST found probable cause that Ivan operated a motor vehicle while impaired. After additional observations and investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted and suspected fentanyl seized from Shannon M. Davis of Wasilla. On January 30, 2026, at approximately 0219 hours, Fairbanks AST received a call of an MVC on Geist and University Ave. Troopers investigated the scene and it was determined the victim was struck by Stephanie Vaughn, as she slid through the red light, traveling south on University, causing the collision. On February 6, 2026, AST interviewed and charged an individual being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Faculty with ten counts of Unlawful Contact in the first degree when it was discovered that the individual contacted the victim in the original case. The investigation is ongoing.
