  On March 1, 2026, at 1516 hours, Seward AST was notified of a search and rescue located on the Canes Head Trail near Lowell Point. A 30 year old female of El Paso, Texas, reportedly sustained a lower limb injury and required assistance off the trail. Bear Creek Fire Department, Seward Fire Department, and Lowell Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist. The female was removed from the trail and all rescue personnel are safely out of the field.

  On 02/28/2026 at approximately 2342 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle damage crash in Palmer. Following the investigation, Phillip Mitchell, age 28 of Anchorage, was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for driving under the influence of alcohol.

  On 03/01/2026 AST recieved a report of a disturbance in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Justin Dahlberg (age 36, of Wasilla) had committed A4 x2 on a household member, and additionally in the presence of a child. Justin was remanded to MSPT.

  On 03/01/2026, Troopers initiated a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet hatchback traveling Southbound on Badger Rd. The driver, identified as Payton Tyler Bookey, age 19 of North Pole, was found to be impaired by an alcoholic beverage or controlled substance through investigation. He was remanded to FCC with no further incident.

  On March 1, 2026, AST responded to a report of assault (DV) in Fairbanks. Charges for assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the fifth degree were forwarded to the District Attorney's Office. The investigation is still ongoing.
