On 5/21/2025 AST was dispatched to Wasilla for a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Adam Avakumoff had threatened to burn someone while holding a lighter and was highly intoxicated and acting strangely. Adam was issued a misdemeanor citation for Assault in the 4th degree and given a court date before he left the area.

On 5/21/2025 the Alaska State Troopers received call for a welfare check on a blue sedan was blocking the drive through entrance to the Club 49 restaurant. Troopers responded to the scene and interacted with Evie Peters (39YOA) of Anchorage. Evie was found to be driving under the influence and placed under arrest. She was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was held per the bail schedule.

On 05/21/2025 at approximately 1223 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received multiple calls regarding a disturbance near E. Pine Street. AST responded and contacted Jacob Waibel, age 24 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Waibel recklessly caused injury to a significant other. Waibel was placed under arrest for DV Assault in the 3rd degree, Violating Conditions of Release, and Driving While License Revoked. Waibel was transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held without bail.

On 5/21/25 at approximately 1500 hours Palmer AST performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near Vine and Aeronautical for an equipment violation. AST recognized one of the passengers as Daniel Hanohano, age 49 of Wasilla. Daniel was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to remand on original charge of Theft 3rd Degree. Hanohano was arrested and remanded to Mat Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

On May 21, 2025, at approximately 1621 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a deceased individual at a residence near Chena Hot Springs Road. The deceased was identified as Gary Darnell, age 70. The investigation indicated his death was due to natural causes. The State Medical Examiner authorized the release of the body to the family. Next of kin was notified on scene.
